Challenge
To raise awareness about the looming workforce shortage crisis in the aerospace industry and encourage kids to pursue careers as “rocket scientists” by participating in the world’s largest rocket contest, the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC).
Solution
VE & Co. launched a national campaign to media, students, and their parents and teachers to position TARC as a unique way to learn and enjoy science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). VE & Co. utilized traditional and social media to generate awareness about TARC, including You Tube, Facebook, popular science blogs and national media outlets.
Results
The campaign produced national coverage, including the CBS Weekend News, CNBC’s “Closing Bell,” MSNBC online, USA Today, San Antonio Express News, The Washington Post, and Federal News Radio. Overall, the campaign reached more than 144 million people.
