Van Eperen Public Relations Honored by Public Relations Society of America National Capital Chapter
Public Relations and Marketing Firm Recognized for Excellence In Public Affairs/Issues Management In Support of enviroCAB, The World’s First ‘Green’ Taxi Cab Service
BETHESDA, Md. – Van Eperen Public Relations (VE PR) (www.vepublicrelations.com) received a Thoth Award Certificate of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of American National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) on Thursday, Sept. 25. The award was for the firm’s work as part of a team that earned Arlington County’s approval of the operation of enviroCAB, the world’s first carbon-negative taxi cab service.
“This award is a testament to the forward-thinking team of partners that came together to communicate the important messages about a new company that would help reduce air emissions as part of Arlington County’s FreshAIRE initiative,” said Laura Van Eperen, chief executive officer of VE PR. “We are extremely proud to have worked alongside Hans Hess and Cord Thomas, founders of enviroCAB, and the visionary leaders of Arlington, Virginia, who championed this effort to launch the world’s first “green” taxi cab service.”
More than 200 area communicators celebrated the accomplishments of public relations professionals at the annual PRSA-NCC Thoth Awards Gala held at the Hotel Monaco in Washington, D.C. Named for the Egyptian god of communication, the Thoth (pronounced “tot”) Awards annually recognize the top achievements in Washington area public relations.
